Commentary:
My Old Kentucky Home State Park Campground provides a centralized location to explore the attractions of Bardstown, from the quaint historic downtown to Kentucky bourbon distilleries. We spent two nights there in early October and found the staff to be friendly, the bathhouse facilities adequate and our site pleasant.
Highlights:
My Old Kentucky Home State Park Campground sits right in Bardstown. On the state park grounds you can tour the stately Rowan home which inspired Stephen Foster's ballad, play golf on an 18-hole course and attend Stephen Foster-The Musical. The historic center of Bardstown, bourbon distilleries and many other great attractions are close by.
