David and Rose Muenker are co-owners of Muenker Media LLC, which creates compelling images and text for editorial and commercial markets. Each contributes specific talents: David photographs; Rose writes.
Editorially, they specialize in travel features. David and Rose's articles regularly appear in the travel sections of major Canadian and US newspapers. National and regional magazines also publish their photographs and stories.
Complemented with David's images, Rose's travel column, "Scenic Byways," appeared monthly in the Denver Post. She won the 2003 Gold Award in the "Travel Column" category from the Society of American Travel Writers, Western Chapter.
Colorado Front Range History Explorer (Altitude Publishing Ltd., 2002), a travel guidebook richly illustrated with David's photography, describes historical sites and attractions in Colorado's most populous region. Rose won the 2003 Silver Award in the "Guidebook" category from the Society of American Travel Writers, Western Chapter.
Their most recent guidebook, Colorado Front Range Scenic & Historic Byways, (Altitude Publishing Ltd., 2003) celebrates the spectacular scenery and rich heritage found along the eastern flank of the Rockies. Both books are available for purchase.
To increase awarness about UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which exemplify man and nature's greatest creations, they have launched two websites, one for adults and one for children. One World Heritage features articles, photo essays and news updates. The World Heritage Pointer is a fun, educational kids' website that chronicles the adventures of a dog named Sonya at World Heritage Sites.
In addition, Muenker Media works with corporations, educational institutions, foundations and other organizations. Clients have included the National Endowment for Financial Education and the Daniels College of Business of the University of Denver.
David and Rose are available for assignment both individually and as a team.
