The World Heritage Committee will conduct its annual meeting in Suzhou, China from June 28 to July 7, 2004.
During this session, the 21 committee members will:
Decide which nominations of cultural and natural properties of outstanding universal value will be placed on the World Heritage List
Monitor the state of conservation of the World Heritage Sites
Decide which sites are to be placed on or removed from the List of World Heritage in Danger
Decide whether a site may be deleted from the World Heritage List
Examine requests for international assistance from the World Heritage Fund.
